Welcome to Our Website
Thank you for visiting our website.
The Tommy Byrne Photographic Society was launched on April 6th 2005. It was named in honour of Tommy Byrne, a local photographer who sadly passed away in February 2000. Tommy was an avid photographer with a special interest in Landscape photography. His daughter, Julie New, has been a member from the start and our treasurer up to the current year. The Byrne family sponsor our Landscape Competition which is held in November each year.
Our current member numbers stand at 43 and rising. It is a very stable, friendly society with a huge welcome to everyone who crosses our doors. We meet every Wednesday night in the Bridge Hotel, Arklow, starting at 8.30pm. The Hoey Family, owners of the Bridge, have looked after us from the beginning, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their hospitality and kindness to us over the years. We hope you enjoy our website.
